After many years of addiction, Chris and Monica found the love of God and were compelled to go to the streets with it. They worked in homeless shelters while attending North Central Bible College. It was here that they began to grasp a vision for how God can meet the needs of hurting people by providing a place of refuge, fellowship and healing.

Chris and Monica put their vision into action as they started, the Life Center (formerly Inner City Church of Minneapolis), in 1993 from their home in the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhood in the Twin Cities.

Today, they face their greatest ministry challenge as they look to expand the outreach to the neediest in the community by expanding ministry scope, facilities and its leadership team.

Chris and Monica, as U.S. Missionaries,  have  dispatched launch teams to plant churches in Miami, New York, Seattle  and have pioneered inner city churches in Chicago, St. Paul as well as a Hispanic church.

Chris and Monica have received honors from: North Central University 2000 Young Alumnus Award.Assemblies of God Home Missions Church Planting Department 2002 Outstanding Inner City Church Planting Award. Also, Monica has sat on the Assemblies of God National Committee on Evangelism with Randy Hurst as well as the Committee on Mission with General Superintendent Thomas Trask.
